Cataloging Art Collection
Cataloguing services range from filling out the art collection's existing documentation with supplemental background research, consolidating records and referencing archival and photographic materials in the item catalog, to complete cataloguing from scratch. Existing museum or art collection documents such as donor records, accession records, archives, and previous cataloguing information are also utilized during the cataloguing process. BPart scans and uploads invoices, appraisals, condition reports, artist biographies and other sources of documentation used to complete the cataloguing
Digitizing of the Art Collection Records
The collections documentation is set in a computer database. The software choice depends on the client's needs, as to how big the collection is and the client's budget. An artist inventory might not have the same database as a medium size collection.
